While there are several places to visit, which usually are quite conventional and over-crowded, we bring to you a list of eight off-beat, and lesser known, exquisite destinations to check-off from your bucket-list.


1. Andaman Islands

2. Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

Tawang is a small town in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. Even during the peak of summer, which is May-June, this town is pleasantly cool. The town boasts of a host of beautiful orchids such as Tipi orchid and monasteries including Tawang Monastery. It is also less populated, so over-crowding would the last of your concerns, which is what makes it a wonderful place to visit.

3. Sikkim

5. Kadmat Island, Lakshadweep

Kadmat is also known by the name of ‘Cardamom Islands’. It is in the Lakshadweep and a haven of beautiful and scenic beaches along with the fun of water-sports. The Bnagram Islands nearby is also a stunning place to visit in case you want to get a glimpse of bioluminescent waves touching the shores!

6. Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu

If you are craving to visit a place such as Ooty and Coonoor, but already have been there, and done that then here is another place identical to it – Kotagiri. Located at the laps of Niligiri Hills, the place offers a memorable experience through trekking and rock climbing as well as witnessing the waterfalls, hills and tea plantations in the valley.
